Logon to the server as the administrator
Go to Start Menu –>All programs and open the SQL Server group as shown below (note: Some installations are SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2005 is shown in the image)
Run the SQL Server Configuration Manager
On the left panel select SQL Server 2005 Services (or 2008 services – see image below)
Right click on SQL Server (ETRACK) on the right and select Stop to stop the eTrack database.
When you are ready to restore the eTrack database follow the above procedure and select Start at step 5 instead of stop. Database service must be running prior to restoring your database with eTrackConsole.exe
