Restoring of Orphan items is done using the eTrack Maintenance utility.

Please ensure no users are logged on whilst processing orphaned items.

To restore orphaned items:

1. Backup your database before proceeding
2. Run eTrackmaintenance.exe program from the Maintenance folder on your file server
3. On the main screen select “Full Assessment”
4. Press Start to being the assessment
5. After the assessment is complete, maintenance does a number of checks, if you only wish to restore orphaned items uncheck all other tasks listed so that only orphans are restored.
6. Press continue to execute the maintenance tasks

When the process is completed any orphans restored will be related into the Recycle Bin under a special relationship of “has Orphaned Items”.
You can restore these orphaned items by dragging and dropping them from recycle bin and “Moving” them back to where they belong.
