An item can be MOVED in the Schedule via shift-drag with the mouse to a later date. This increases the gap between it and its predecessor but it also adds more hours (and hence adjusts the budget figures accordingly).
There are two ways to change duration in the scheduler without changing the hours:
a) Put a 1 (hour) in the end date cell (and start date cell if needed) and reduce one of the other cells by 1.
Duration = latest day with hours – earliest day with hours. You’ll notice eTrack displays a grey bar indicating the complete duration.
b) Edit the %util (% utilisation) column – if %util reduced this will re-fill over a longer period (although you can’t currently specify an end date).
Planned Future Enhancement:
A new menu option that will distribute specified effort over a specified duration with eTrack calculating the required %Util.
