Up until the recent GoGlobal upgrade, it was possible to successfully run etrack from any browser running on the apple (chiefly Safari, Opera or Firefox), since the upgrade a couple of weeks ago however I have only got it working through Firefox ( and when I launch Firefox it tells me that the page uses a plugin that can only run in 32 bit mode – you can then restart Firefox in 32 bit mode and it works very well). It also needed to download and install a plugin the first time I connected to eTrack through Firefox, however it is now successfully running super quick !!!!
One thing to ensure when trying to run eTrack through a Mac is that you are running the latest software for both the mac operating system and the browser. We have had a few clients with performance issues that seemed to disappear when they upgraded both to the latest versions.
It should be noted that the issue regarding lack of access through other browsers does not have anything to do with the etrack software itself, but rather is an issue with our web facilitator Go Global. Our developers are following up with Graphon (the suppliers of GoGlobal) to achieve a resolution to the issues.
In addition to running etrack through Firefox, I also run etrack through my Windows virtual machine (I use VM Ware for my virtual machine) and it runs successfully both as a local client or through browsers such as IE.
