These are the options for the Type column of an Information tab

Lookup = dropdown. Tree node that is the parent of the list of items defined in next column
Text = 255 chars
Currency = $0.00
Date = Calendar dropdown
Yes/No = checkbox
Header = bold row of text
Whole Number = Integer
Today Date = Calendar dropdown defaulting to today’s date
TRIM Hyperlink = Used in TRIM Doc Mgt system interface
Memo = Text > 255 chars. NOTE: Can’t be copied from templates.
Float = Decimal number
Lookup with New = As Lookup but includes New… in dropdown so can add a new entry to the list
Lookup with Find = As Lookup but includes Find… that displays the Find dialog.
Lookup with New and Find = as above
Find = Lookup but with no selection other than Find. Used when the list is very long causing performance issues.
Milestone Date = not implemented
Attachment = link to document. Don’t use if using Document Management feature.
Project Contact = not implemented
Child of Type = Advanced (used to retrieve a value from a child tree node – please ask eTrack)
Parent Child of Type = Advanced (used to retrieve a value from a parent tree node – please ask eTrack)
Currency for Total = The total of this column as displayed in a register of Info items can be displayed on the Budget tab. Used for Total PO Value
on Architects database.
Contact List = special type of lookup restricted to the list of contacts linked to the project as displayed in the multi Contacts list on the Project Details tab
